Mustard Salmon Recipe

My friend Cindy followed my recipe and send me this picture!
2- pounds salmon steak.
6- tablespoon dijon mustard
1/2- cup lime juice
1- cup italian bread crumbs
1- tablespoon garlic salt
1/2- cup olive oil
pepper to taste

Preheat oven 375degrees. Season salmon with lime juice then salt and pepper. In a baking pan pour half of the oil on the bottom and then place the salmon. Pour the mustard on top evenly. Sprinkle the crumbs and then the rest of olive oil. Cook for 20-25 minutes. Serves 8.

* I like it on top of beans or with vegetables on the side. I like asparagus with almonds and white jasmine rice.

*I always make this recipe the first of the year with lentejas or lentils for prosperity!

FYI- Salmon is a superfood because it’s high in omega-3 fatty acids, a type of fat that seems to decrease the risk of heart disease. This fish is also a prime source of protein and contains vitamin A and B vitamins. No matter what type it is–farm-raised, wild, canned, or smoked–salmon provides omega-3 fat. But the amount of the fat will vary, as will the sodium content. In addition to the heart-healthy benefits, the omega-3 fats in this fish have also been shown to promote joint health, contribute to the proper functioning of the brain and nervous system, and may possibly help prevent certain types of cancer.

Dijon Mustard- Mustard seeds, a key ingredient in Dijon mustard, are high in selenium. Natural Food Benefits reports that this mineral may help prevent cancer, as well as reducing symptoms of asthma and some types of arthritis. These seeds also serve as a good source of magnesium, which may also prove beneficial if you have asthma. Magnesium may also play a part in relieving high blood pressure and preventing heart attacks in some patients.
