Sonia's Shrimp in a White Wine Garlic Sauce

1 pound uncooked shrimp
1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
1/2 yellow onion cut into small pieces
8 minced garlic cloves or 1/2 cup
1/2 cup white wine
1 2oz jar sliced pimiento, drained
salt and pepper

In a pan heat oil and cook onions and garlic until garlic start to turn brown. Add Shrimp, salt and pepper and cook for 2 minutes. Add wine, pimientos and cook for 15 minutes. Serves 4

*Serve with rice or pasta on the side
